How to remove double din PCM?

Good morning,
I’m replacing my PCM. I’ve removed the horseshoe surround to access the 4 retainers with angled Allen key. However PO seems to have fiddled with a couple of the retainers dropped out of place. I don’t want to damage the PCM as I will keep with car for any future sale (which I’m not planning anytime soon!) so still need to find a way of getting it out intact. I’ve removed the four torx screws on plastic chassis behind the horseshoe but nothing budges. I saw a video suggesting there are more torx at the back of chassis (beside the rear of the PCM). Is this the case and if so, removing those will I be able to remove the whole plastic chassis, with double din PCM in place, vents and cup holder above…all in one go? I’m a relative newbie to the 996 (certainly doing any work on it) so all help gratefully received. Thank you so much.

Thanks Richard - unfortunately the problem I have is that as shown on pg3 of the PDF, the retaining clips where an Allen key is used to release, are missing/slipped from some work done by a previous owner - hence I need to get the whole, larger chassis that the PCM and vents sit in, completely out - in order to then fettle to release the PCM from that chassis. Hope that makes sense - cheers.

Hmmm. The parts lists show a screw in each corner of the retaining frame (just off the edges of your photo). You could try removing those, and see if the whole frame will slide out.

Edit: This is the frame for the standard radio/aircon panel. The PCM2 frame isn't shown on PET.

Yep I had removed those 4 torx bolts At the front…I just think there may be some further back, thanks anyway Richard.
