4 Year service on 992 C2S

Been quoted £1,708 for service with 10% club discount on parts by local PC.
Paid £725 for the 2 year service. Presume that there is PDK gear change oil and spark plugs in addition to 2 years service.
What have others paid for similar services?

Suggest you ask them for a breakdown of costs.

Neil,

Your Guarantee and Maintenance document will indicate the recommended scheduled maintenance after 4 years/40,000 miles, including any additional maintenance items like spark plugs, etc. Have a look at that before approaching your dealer to get a cost breakdown as Ralph suggests.

Not yet had a 4 year service; that will be later this year.  As others have said, best reference is the service book.
I don't believe any PDK fluids (clutch fluid or gearbox oil) will need doing as these will probably be 6Y/12Y items.  In addition to 2Y, I suspect the drive belt (aka accessory belt) and spark plugs will be up for replacement as well as a longer list of "inspection items".  An extra £1000 seems steep for the added work but not unexpected.  I do recall the 6Y and 10Y services on my 997.2 (4S) with the added costs of the 4WD maintenance (transfer box oil change etc.) being eye watering!

Just to add that Porsche servicing charges have increased significantly over the past few years. With some dealers’ labour rate approaching £250/hr it’s not hard to see to see why you’re being quoted £1,708 for upwards of an hour’s work.

Thanks for sharing, good to know what's coming next year now....that seems steep and like others have said, I would be looking for a complete breakdown of the costs.

Been quoted the sane from Porsche Portsmouth - they also say it includes Porsche recommended clearing of all drains on doors and sunroof, plus apparently two recall issues from Porsche, brake line checks and PDK software update. Mine is booked in for April but some ringing around others have given me a similar price
