Anyone had any problems getting through to the driving experience guys at Silverstone? Almost impossible to speak to anyone.

Thanks, will keep trying, it was fine 8-10 months ago but they have a new phone system in place, you can't actually speak to anyone if you follow the instructions. Have sent emails but still waiting.

I sent an email to them about 2 weeks ago - no response as of yet.

Are they really that busy that they can't respond to emails?

I had the same issue trying to arrange my experience day, contacted them last October, just no response on the phone, pre recorded message saying bookings already confirmed up to a certain date and to call in the future. I then emailed at the approx time they indicated, took two weeks for a reply and basically said again, no slots left until end Jan 2023 and to try emailing again in late Dec. I emailed them 23rd Dec again asking for a date, and received a reply 11th Jan, offering me a date in Mid March, no human contact at all, and was told I should be emailed confirmation paperwork by the end of this month, so we shall see.

Cheers GTB

The idea that they'll pick a date and hope you can make it generates extra work when that date is unsuitable etc.

An online booking system showing availability really isn't a stretch.

The way to get a response is probably to start grumbling on social media, they've got an Instagram account.[8|]

I went last weekend. They said they’d had staff issues I.e. not enough manning the phones and had recently taken on newbies so hopefully it will get better. They also told me they are booking for rolling 3 months periods.

Im sure its not difficult to work out number of people buying new cars etc, and then "Demand" for experience day over say quarter year periods, also not every purchaser will want the day etc. Im afraid just like any other buisness these days, understaffed and cant provide even the most basic form of service, in answering a phone call.

Anyway I wasnt in a rush, got a date that just happened to suit me, but for a lot of other people that wont be the case.

The process as explained to me in an email last year:

"The notice - to PEC - is generated automatically when you place the order. The (auto) invites from PEC go out in batches, so timing depends on how up to date their processing is.

You could contact them on 01327 855911 or email them on drivingexperience@porsche.co.uk quoting your build number Bnnnnn and Customer ID BP nnnnnnnnn to make sure that you are due to be invited"

I ordered a February 2022 build the day before Christmas 2021, I called PEC January 2022 and got a choice of 25 dates - obviously very different times..

My issue isn’t getting the invite - I have that. But I can’t actually make a booking as they don’t respond to emails or answer phone.

Was there twice last year - these issues weren’t around then

I'd not tried calling for a few weeks, but this morning I got through in 3 rings and it was all booked up in a couple of minutes.

Currently taking bookings for March.

I tried today it just rang forever, so sent an email, i hope they respond within 5 days as stated.
