We were deeply saddened to hear today that Richard died peacefully on 6 January, and we have sent our condolences on behalf of R3 to Susan and Josh.

Richard (seated far right of the picture at our summer solstice picnic in 2021) was an active member attending most Club events until he became ill some while ago. We are sure that you will remember Richard for his friendship, good humour and wonderful Racing Yellow 911T. During Covid Richard, Susan and Josh were regular attendees on our monthly Zoom calls, and Josh proved himself to be a demon quizzer on the music questions. We are grateful to have had the benefit of knowing Richard, and that the Club brought us together, although it was for far too shorter time.

Thinking of Susan and Josh at this sad time - Philip and Jacquie.

Deb & I were extremely sad to read of Richard's passing he was such a lovely, quiet gentle man, with a wicked sense of humour. We may have only spent a limited amount of time together over the past few years but consider those enjoyable times a privilege that afforded us some great memories, thanks to Richard's passion for club and brand. Therefore we would both like to offer our heartfelt condolences to all family and friends at this difficult time.

It is indeed a sad time for family, friends and colleagues of Richard around the world as he was not only a big Porsche fan but a well respected Phd in Physics at Durham University through his research work in Observational and Theoretical Cosmology. A fascinating subject even for those of us who don't understand it, it's always interesting to hear about "the stars". My condolences to his friends and family. .

Our thoughts are with Richard's family and close friends at this sad time. Richard was a deeply interesting and knowledgeable man, with a great sense of humour, who was fascinating to talk to regarding current understanding of the origins and workings of the universe, and our place within it. A fine mind, and Porsche enthusiast, has been lost.
