Taycan heater failure

Good evening!

I just (3 weeks) got my Taycan back after it was with Porsche for 9 weeks for a replacement high voltage on-board charger.

Last few times I've used the car a warning on the app saying air conditioning error, when I was getting the car and the pre-heat/cool function was starting.

Today I drove for the first long journey... no heat at all coming from the vents. Uncomfortable journey there, more troublesome on the way back as windscreen wouldn't de-mist and once it did, it kept misting back up so had the window open slightly.

Porsche Assist will be called tomorrow, anyone else had this issue recently?

More than a few people have had this issue... there's a lot of cars sat at Porsche Centre's waiting for replacement heaters which are in very short supply. I am told that they are now fitting an updated heater with a different part number rather than just replacing like for like and that the time required for the replacement is less than previously. However they are still in very short supply with many cars sat waiting.

Which dealer has it been taken to?

What delightful motor have Enterprise found for you?

Looks like I have the same problem.......
Tried to pre-heat car this morning on account of -5 degrees temperature outside and was surprised when screen was still iced up an hour later despite app saying pre-cool was working. Had to use car anyway with no heating at all. Thought it might be one of those Taycan problems
that solves itself with a reset but it didn't. App is now showing error air conditioning error
Back to Porsche Tonbridge !

I drove it to Silverstone as PA said the earliest they could collect was 3 weeks!

im on 1st name terms with my local enterprise branch after the HV charger issue, so they sorted me a decent car to be fair.

I was told by Silverstone they had 30+ of these before Xmas, and still had a lot to do and part was on back order.

They had it all done within 2 weeks though.

I wish it ended there! I went to collect on Friday, and as I walked round the car to get on I saw a big whit scratch on the rear door! They tried to buff out but it's dented along the scratch.

so it's go to go back in for them to repair that. ???????

They were very apologetic as you can image.

I hear that heater failure is an on-going issue ... parts failure and not enough replacements with Porsche recommending that cars aren't driven ...

So Porsche is admitting that its products are not fit for purpose.
Anyone with a legal background able to opine on this?

I wish i had not found this thread, my car has been with Porsche since the 6th January and they cant tell me when the new HV charger is expected to arrive. I have managed 602 miles from new. Just pathetic.

Car is finally booked in the get the bodywork repaired on 14th March.

I'm planning on changing the Taycan for a Targa later this year which has been on order for 18 months already, but I'm not convinced about changing the Macan GTS for the Electric version after all of the issues I've had.

Still no further forward. I have other cars but I have taken a car from Porsche assistance that is currently sitting out in the street. I only took this to see if the expense would move me forward.

I have been told that there is no information on the timescale for the replacement HV charger. Perth have 5 taycans awaiting repair, I have been told Glasgow OPC have 24.

When my HV charger went, they had it for 9 weeks!

When the HV heater went, it was only 14 days.
