Macan rear screen wash fault

Has anyone else had problems with their Macan rear screen wash leaking? Pump working ok and jets clear so Googled the fault on another forum. Sure enough, the rear passenger footwell is damp! Seems there is a connection that can come loose. So I'm going to book the car in but would like to hear if anyone has had the same issue and what the fix was....

The junction under the back rear seat , passenger side is prone to cracking - a T shaped part. Mine broke and was changed under warranty. The interior will need a good drying out.

Thanks, I'm trying to book the car in for the work to be done in the New Year.
Feels like the carpet is drying out, now that I'm trying not to use the rear washer!

UPDATE:
Car was checked out by Porsche in York, the tee piece was intact, but the pipe had become disconnected. So the fluid was leaking under the carpet. Dried out and working again. One to watch out for in the future, Macan owners!!

There is a design fault with the Macan rear wash/wipe system. My Mac is just out of warranty and has always been garaged overnight. However, I recently went on holiday and had to leave the car in a Heathrow car park for 2 weeks in February, when there was a cold snap. On my return the rear washer failed to work. I contacted my local Porsche dealer who said it was know fault on the Macan. The pipe leading from the washer tank to rear screen washer nozzle splits when you use the wash wipe, when it is frozen. My car was 4 months out of warranty and I was was warned the cost of repair would be £1500 as the entire interior trim has to be removed to replace the pipe. i contacted Porsche UK and they said they were aware of the problem and they might be prepared to contribute to the cost. The car is now booked in for the work, but if this is the fault then I trust they will pick up the total cost as it is down to poor design. If they don't, then I shall do my best to highlight the problem to the motoring press as I believe such a design fault is unacceptable from a supposedly engineering led company. One other word of warning. My Porche dealer they had quite a few Macan's in with the problem, but all were e dealt with under warranty, my crime was to keep the car garaged so it wasn't exposed to freezing temperatures. I suggested to my Porsche garage that at least the repair would fix the problem as presumably Porsche had modified the design to stop it happening again. No, came the reply, it is exactly the same design. So Macan owners be warned you cant use your rear wash/wipe in freezing temperature, because if you do it will cost £1500 to repair!

Mines booked in for such an issue and rear wiper skipping still under warranty thank heavens
2 day job apparently.

Did the cars which have had a problem with leaking rear wash wipe pipng, have summer screen wash or winter screen wash with antifreeze i their washer bottle? Asking for a friend!!

Mine had Porches own screen wash at maximum strength. The problem was it had been in teh car park for two weeks unused so I guess this helped with teh freezing, but if you Google Macan rear wash problem you will find lots of people have had the problem.

Since posting my warning about the susceptibility of Macan rea rscreen washer breaking when conditions are below zero, I am happy to report that Porsche Exeter fixed in today. The pipe had fractured under the carpet of the rear passenger footwell. It is now fixed and I am happy to say Porsche Exeter repaired to at no charge as a goodwill gesture as it was a few months out of warranty so full credit to them. The fix isn't a cure for the problem, so be warned - Don't use the rear screen washer if conditions are below freezing as it is likely to fracture pipe that leads from from washer recevoir Shame such a basic design fault should occur in a Porsche, which used to be an engineering led company, sadly it may just be starting to loose the plot in its drive to increase sales

All because of a punctured washer hose? You are a stern critic! :ROFLMAO:
