Porsche 924 won’t start

Hi. I’m having a few issues with my 1980 Porsche 924. it’s turning over fine and looks like it drops power on the battery guage and just won’t fire up. If I jump start it, works straight away. I have charged the battery and replaced it, but still no Joy. Can anyone suggest what it could be and some ideas to fix?
thanks

Poor starting could be for several reasons.
1 Check that the fuel pump is running to pressurise the system. With the drivers door open, turn on the ignition key just to engage the starter but then immediately turn it off, dont turn over the engine. Listen to hear if the fuel pump is running the sound should come from just behind the off side rear wheel. Do this a couple of times
If there is no noise, this means you already have the fuel system pressurised, or there is no power to the pump.It could be a bad relay or just poor electrical connections at the pump or at the relay. Carefully disconnect the wires on the fuel pump under the car, clean them and replace, repeat the key turn-on sequence to check if that has worked. If not, remove the relay from under the LH side of the dash, clean the terminals and replace it. Check the key sequence again and listen for the pump sound.
If the fuel pump is running and still will not start, there are other problems like the 5th injector not switching on so the cold start enrichment that it provides which is a bit like a choke is not working, disconnect and reconnect the electric plug and try again.
If all else fails you could squirt a big shot of EasyStart into the air intake and see if the gets it to fire. Good Luck.
