Hi all,

just dipped my toe into Porsche ownership for the first time (after a year looking for the "right" car!) and now need to find the right specialist garage. I'm aware of Marque 21, Bahnsport and SCS - does anyone have any advice please?

Many thanks in advance

Hi welcome

what Porsche have you purchased? that may possibly make a difference to who people recommend

I used to own a TVR and I used Jon at Purbeck Sportscars for it’s servicing. Jon advertises as a TVR and Lotus specialist but he does have the equipment and skills to work on Porsche, consequently he’s worked on my Cayman a few times and always does an excellent job at a reasonable price.

i’ve used bahnsport last 18 months with my new 991.2
they’ve been very good and reasonable price too
thumbs up from me

Bahnsport are terrific. Scott is the 'ask the expert' for one of the specialist magazines. If you want to see the sort of amazing work they do then check out their fascinating Instagram feed. They do pre and post purchase inspections and will upgrade your car to latest specifications for PCM and shock absorbers etc.

Earlier in this thread I recommended Jon at Purbeck Sports Cars and I haven’t changed my opinion, however, my 987.2 Cayman S was due a major service recently so I decided to book it in with Scott and James at Bahnsport because for me the journey to Blandford is more enjoyable. I was very impressed and would certainly recommend them.

JMG at Ferndown have been recommended to me in the past but I have never used them. Not cheap though.

I would give Jamie a call at Specialist Motorworx https://specialistmotorworx.co.uk/ I've been using him for a few years and I have to say he's brilliant.
