Pretty sure it was Kalahari Beige

I thought it was Zermatt. Frenchy had a kalahari 220 that I think he sold and Copperman had a kalahari S2 he sold before he got a 135i beamer and left proceedings here IIRC. They were the only kalahari's I recall.

Jeez, 2 more names, although I think Frenchy pops up from time to time. Got my chipset from him many moons ago when we all met up a few times at Alasdair's (Sulzeruk), who himself has left the Porsche fold and has a motorbike racing team now, does the TT and stuff.

What about Suffolk 944, I think that was his username? I only remember his car because he bought it from a friend of Paul Smith. It was for sale when I was looking for a turbo, but when I found out it had done something like 100 laps of the Nurburgring I lost interest. That's a track day car IMO.

John I think, was it not quite heavily modified and he called it Beaky?

I swapped a message with Jon only last week when Davyboy spotted that it was back up for sale. Jon sold it about 18 months ago and last week it was up with a trader on Autotrader for £35k  Lots of restoration work done and a 350bhp engine. I just looked on Autotrader and it's gone now.

I wonder what happened to WUF? The guy that bought it from Ben was talking about rebuilding the engine, but he's been silent for a while.

Still here, just not doing much with 944s at the moment, they are both safely tucked up indoors though!

It's been a while....first time on here for a couple of years I guess

Still got my S2, has hardly been used this year as we've been busy building a house...  It's currently parked at a friends house, need to collect it soon.
Garage will be getting a 4 post lift, but I think the 944 will be going

How about a guy called Mark Dalton, never knew him, but supposedly he owned a 944 turbo with one of Jon Mitchells 3.2 engines. Rumored to be  gathering moss, stored  at JMG?

I met Mark a couple of times - he was down Reading way (maybe worked for microsoft?)

I bet Mark K has still got his 944's - they were absolutely spotless!

Spoke to one of the guys at JMG the other week, when looking for an ABS sensor, and we had a quick chat about the scarcity of turbo's on the road. He said it was probably because most of them were lying in their yard!
