The Notawoty 23 will be on 8/9/10 August 2023
The Notawoty at Friars Carse Country House Hotel was such a great success that many people said that they wanted to go again in 2023.

Those who have been before will know that is a lovely area with great scenery, both mountain and moorland roads and delightful coastal areas too. Almost unbelievably, even in August the roads are virtually traffic free.

We will once again have exclusive use of the delightful 3 star Friars Carse Hotel, with its special ambience and very friendly and helpful staff who are looking forward to us returning since they say that they greatly enjoy having the Yorkshire region of the Porsche Club to stay.

We will stay three nights, the Tuesday 8th, Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th August, but you are of course very welcome to extend your stay if you so wish.

Booking

Booking opens Tuesday 8th November at 9:30am

Hi Graham
I'm a new member so where do I find info on the day to day schedule for this event please
Bob

Hi Bob
The Notawoty is a fairly loose structured event allowing everyone who goes on it to pick and choose what they want to do. The big reason why we keep on returning to Friars Carse ( this will be the regions fourth visit within two years) are to drive the absolutely stunning roads in this are which are quite possible the finest roads for driving fun in the UK. Some people will want to drive their favourite roads again, other will want to explore roads and places new to them so we will offer a good selection of suggested routes and stops.

So as such there is not a fixed programme to follow, but the general plan is for most people to meet at Wetherby on Tuesday morning.
Then a choice of routes to a lunch stop in Teesdale with a choice of routes to travel on from there to Friars Carse.
On the Wednesday there is a lunch stop arranged and again a choices of routes of how to get there, with a choice of return routes. most people will do this, but others just prefer to go off on theirs own.
On Thursday there is no arranged lunch stop, people do there own things, more driving or perhaps swimming in the sea and lochs if the weather is as good as last year.
Friday, either get off early or explore some more in the area before heading home or onwards as is a popular option.

If it would help please drop me an email and I'll send you last years Route Book etc which gives more information about how the event works. Of course there be some changes / improvements etc but will give a good idea.

There are still a small number of rooms available for the Notawoty.

All previous events at Friars Carse have been fully booked, so if you want to join us then please sign up quickly to grab one of the remaining rooms whilst you can.

Hi Graham,
I have just booked the hotel for Mary and me.
I have also sent an email to you.
The hotel reported 18 rooms have been booked now.
There are still single rooms available.
Thanks
Derek

The Notawoty 23 is now fully booked in the hotel apart from the two single rooms as mentioned by DerekAcer1.
There are still the two self contained cottages available which people have stayed in on precious events. You still have meals etc in the main hotel so if you want to join us on the Notawoty grab one of these whilst you can.

Graham & all.

Unfortunately we can no longer make this trip and have now cancelled our booking at the hotel. This being the case our double room may still be available if anyone would like to go.

Best regards.

Zeusy & Mrs T

Sadly due to a late cancellation caused by family illness one couple had had to cancel their booking for the Notawoty at Friars Carse.
THis means that there is now a double room available to someone who has missed out attending this popular event.
If you want to join us then please follow the booking instructions at the beginning of this thread.
