Hi Guys
Slight electrical fault I had before the engine rebuild, and is still happening. Sometimes when starting from cold, the dash oil pressure reads a bit low (3 bar on cold start up rather than 5), it's definitely electrical and is probably reading about 60% of what it should. After a short (and varied, a few hundred yards, a mile, 5 miles sometimes) period of time the gauge pings back to reading properly instantly (I'm ruling out mechanical because of this). Doesn't tend to happen on hot starts. I'm sure I've tried a couple of senders and it hasn't cured the problem. So it's either a wiring issue, a gauge issue or a binnacle issue. It could also be rugby ball thingy related as well I suppose.
Has anybody else had this before I start swapping things over out of curiosity? I do have another binnacle, and gauge and rugby ball thingys to play with!
Normally I wouldn't be too fussed about this, as I know the oil pressure is good, but it's a bit annoying when I'm running the engine in.
