Having my GTS wheels painted Silver. Platinum or GT?

I’m going for a classic look on my Targa GTS with the roll hoop in Silver Aluminium finish.
The car will be PTS Amethyst.
The centrelock Turbo S alloys are only available in black. I don’t like black and they won’t look good with the silver hoop so they have to be painted after delivery.
The question is: Should I go for GT Silver or Platinum Silver?

I think GT Silver is more Metallic and Plat is flatter so could work better on wheels. Either option will be Satin clear coated.

I had the GT Silver rims on my 996 Turbo S which looked good but I’m leaning to plat as a better match for the satin Aluminium finish of the roll hoop.

Looking for opinions from experienced experts in Porsche colours and Silvers. Thanks.

Interesting- so……. I have exactly the same opinion on black wheels, but I too was adamant that I wanted the centrelocks. Plan A was to buy a second set of alloys (my plan), Plan B was to have the GTS stock wheels stripped and repainted in the UK before the car was handed over. My OPC has offered to arrange this for less than £1k (my wife’s plan). As plan A with a spare set of wheels and tyres was costing £6k I lost. So I’m having mine painted platinum and then diamond cut on the vertical face back to natural (silver). In my view this is the best look and is similar to the silver/platinum look that‘s available on the Turbo S.
Hope that helps, Nigel.

Ok Nigel thanks for the reply.

I think I’m going for powder coating as Diamond cut is not the look I’m going for.
I came across a company called "Prismatic Powders” who actually do a Porsche Silver Powder so that’s my plan A.
Look forward to seeing photos of your car when the wheels are done Nigel, they’ll look great.
