I need a new set of rubber, but the OPC are way overcharging. Has anyone used standard tyres companies for new tyres? Very nervous about centre locks and damage to the PCCB disks. Need I be concerned?

Order the boots on line and have them sent direct to your PC for fitting. (Probably best to obtain their quotation for balancing and fitting first).
The tyres all need to have the same NA rating.

Just a word of caution, I enquired about doing this with my local Porsche Centres some time ago but they refused to fit tyres they did not supply. Not all PCs are the same of course plus their attitude may have softened in the more recent challenging trading environment.
