Here are a selection of R18 events of the next few weeks

August 17th Monthly Meeting Alternative Vehicle Night, Garstang Golf Club

4th September Longridge Vehicle Extravaganza – Sponsored by Porsche Centre, Preston. See website to book. We have an area booked for PCGB members

15th September – Additional Monthly Meeting – North. Bridge House Farm Tea Rooms, Wray. Alan Ridehalgh has booked a room in the tea rooms for an additional monthly meeting for those members based in the North of the region.

21st September Monthly Meeting – South. As Garstang Golf Club is unavailable this month the normal monthly meeting has been moved to Pleasington Golf Club, near Blackburn. Start at 19.00.

25th September – Breakfast Meeting – Jasmine Porschalink – Nelson

Monthly Meetings – October and beyond. As a small number of members want to move from Garstang Golf Club, I have been looking at alternative venues and have investigated 80 so far. Room hire cost have been as high as £450, (negotiated down from £1000/night, but a car park where we could have 20 reserved places. Others were FOC but the car park was too small or shared by a busy pub, and we would have to share the bar area with others, or the venue was too far for the majority of members to attend regularly.

Dependant on the success of the Pleasington Golf Club meeting we may have this for monthly meetings in the future. Please let me know by e-mail your thoughts on a permanent move. The decision is yours.

28th October – Chippy Tea – Crow Wood, Burnley

16th November Monthly Meeting – Porsche Centre, Bolton 18.30 start
