Good evening all,
After the excellent spontaneous PCGB tour through the Cotswolds to Caffeine&Machine today, i am in need of a new windscreen for my 997.1 GT3. A very small crack has grown. I am an Aussie who only uncovers this beauty 2-3 times a year when i visit my office here - in Solihull. Should i just take it to Porsche Centre Solihull, or is there a better option? What is a fair price over here for a replacement?
thanks in advance, Barry

Call Autoglass and they will come to your place and fit it. I had mine replaced on my Conv. 4S few months ago and they did a great job much & much cheaper than the dealer !!!
By the way your British insurance should pay for it anyway!
I live in Bromsgrove so if you need any help with your car when you are away
I am happy to help you, I love GT3’s

I had a windscreen replaced on a 997 C4S through insurance, carried out by Autoglass. 1st windscreen incorrectly installed & had to be replaced, next windscreen installed & the rear view mirror fell off so had to be replaced. The first two windscreens were aftermarket items, I refused another aftermarket windscreen for the 3rd attempt. They installed an OEM part and it was 3rd time lucky.
In Autoglasses defence the fitters they employed were very careful with my car and a pleasure to deal with.

Steve
