991.1 C4s service requires

It can’t hurt to change the oil every year if you are concerned about it but the schedule is every two years. I have maintained a two year schedule with my 10 year old 981 with no apparent problems. As long as a good quality oil is used (Mobil 1 etc) and the car is not subjected to extreme conditions I think a two year schedule is okay and it’s good enough to satisfy Porsche warranty requirements.

If you have any general concern or are curious, try having the oil tested - See

I always give the oil test bottle to the Centre or Indy to take a sample and I send it off for testing. Just curiosity these days, born of running a modified car previously.

Do you also inspect the filter ?

When I put my 991 in for a service at my OPC I provided a plastic bag and asked them to put the oil filter they had removed in the bag, which they did. I cut it opened and spread the element out fortunately finding nothing other than old oil..
