Just a quick post to show our expression of thanks for an excellent event. The Cotswold Rally.

We have just returned home after extended weekend in the Cotswold, the major part of which was the Cotswold Rally. I would just like to pass on our thanks to Nick Taylor (RO Region 31) and your fellow helpers for both organising and running the event. You and the team should be very proud to have run the event which to my eye ran seamlessly. It was most enjoyable. Well done!

Would you please pass on our thanks to all who had a hand in making our day so enjoyable.

We look forward to next year.

Thanks very much for your kind words John. Much appreciated by all of us who put the event on.

I’m really that glad you and indeed anyone who came enjoyed it. That was our only goal (well other than to break even).

There was the odd unplanned wrinkle that we hope wasn’t too visible but nothing that can’t be ironed out for next year.

We hope that you come again.

Yes Thank you it was brilliantly organised, we had a very enjoyable day. Super fun. One question? There is a link advertising the photographer who took pics as we drove past. The link in the Tulip map book isn’t working. could someone post a link that works. Be most grateful ???? Dave.

Hi Dave

Apologies, the link with the joining instruction emailed to you was correct - how it was transposed to the route book wrongly is anyone's guess. if that was the only error then we've done OK.

Please use this link

Thank you very much for replying so promptly. I missed the link on the email ??
Pictures are superb ??.
please don’t apologise! my post was not a criticism, I thought the day had been organised brilliantly. ??
thanks to all that gave up their time to make a memorable day ?? ????

May i add my name to the list of thank yous for a brilliant day on Sunday. With such a large number of people attending the arrangements needed to be spot on and the team really surpassed themselves. Excellent route, first rate venues, perfectly organised. I was in the "early turn" so got in first for lunch and I guess next year you could swop it round as people arriving later did have a bit of a queue for lunch, but the food was very good and all the staff excellent. This is the sort of day that I join the club for, so many thanks for all the hard work put in by Nick and his team.

Bit slow to the party on this one (blame a long holiday in Cornwall)... but it was (as usual) a great day and route and superbly organised. Many thanks to all involved. Will be back for the next one :)

Thanks for your kind words James. I’m glad that you enjoyed it. We had a few wrinkles and regret if anyone had to queue for lunch or the ladies loos but we’ll iron those out for next year.

for your diary, next years Cotswolds Rally will be on Sunday 30th July.

I hope you make the trip again.

Very best

Nick

Many thanks Roger and yes, we must do something about the lunch queues. That was a disappointment but hopefully not outside our ability to remediate next year which will be on Sun 30 July.

Best

Nick

Thanks Lee. Glad you enjoyed it. Sorry for the late response. I haven’t got the hang of this Forum yet. Must pull my socks up. ??

Thanks Andy. Sorry for the delay in replying. Please come again next year. It will be on Sunday 30/7.

Best

Nick

Hello,

Just wondering if there is any update on when the 2023 tickets for this will be available at all please (website says details still being finalised and tickets will be available shortly but its been like that for a while) ?

Appreciate it takes a lot of sorting, just don't want to miss the boat !

Thanks for asking. It’s fair to say that we are slightly behind than we had planned or anticipated. The key reason being the finessing of costs and content for the chosen destination venue.

I hope to resolve these issues this month - we were at the venue yesterday and will again be on Tuesday. Fingers crossed, tickets 3ill be available in very early May. It’s Sunday 30 July.

Best

Nick

Hi Nick,

slightly odd question for you on this one, but when the time comes to grab tickets to this, will I need to be a club member in order to buy them?

I’ve been putting off signing up because all of the R31 events conflict with me being away for all sorts of reasons, but being Cotswolds based this sounds like an ideal drive and day out!

Nick,
A big "thank you” for the organisation of last Sunday’s event. From start to finish everything worked extremely well, although, perhaps, you could have had another word with the weather gods in the afternoon!
The opportunity to visit Buscot House exclusively was well worthwhile.
I have heard a lot about the Cotswold Rally from other members but it is the first time we have participated and I am sure we shall be up for it again.
Many thanks again to you and your excellent team.

I have noticed the dates on all the posts are 2022 not 2023
