Door pocket bins

Evening all,

Have a couple of questions:

1) Should there be any trim/panel behind the door pocket bins? Currently my car just has the exposed metal of the door frame. Is this correct?

2) I need to replace the door pocket bin elastic which i have already sourced. Both doors have been routed differently, which method is correct?


Any pictures/ help would be appreciate!

That’s what I thought.
On the elastic. does it come through the door anchor point closest to the door hinge, through the top hole then out the bottom hole, along the back the through the hole, back out then to the door anchor point?


Also my elastic is in two parts with a plastic Figure of 8 so that the elastic can be tied to this mid point. Is that correct?
