Hi

i have now taken ownership of my new Macan S. nearly a year after order I collected my Gentain Blue Metallic S from Porsche Exeter. Dan at the dealership was excellent to deal with over the months so I can recommend him as a contact.

car is great and well worth the wait.

not sure how often I will use my 996 but as I’ve had it for ever it can remain with me for now.

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the Forum. Glad you've picked up your Macan S.

When did you place your order? And how long after getting a confirmed build date did you collect your car?

I ordered my Macan S in late February. Salesman on the day said `September delivery` but as of writing I'm still to receive a build date. Have a funny feeling I won't get one this year. Already been hit with one price rise. I don't want to get hit with another.

Anyway, hope you enjoy your car. What spec did you go for?

Hi

I ordered at the beginning of July 2021. i got told I had a build slot in the first quarter of 2022. Put in detailed spec in December 2021. Took delivery first week in May 2022. Until dealer confirms your build slot from Porsche in Germany take his delivery date with a pinch of salt. I got an actual week when it was being built and the dealer knows that as the build goes along.

The car is gentian blue with black half leather. Drives really well and with the ceramic coating I had put on cleans easily.

Good luck with your order.

TBH I'm not expecting it this year now. Last conversation with dealer (June) didn't sound good. Apparently the parts situation is even worse than before. How, I'm not sure? Who knew the Ukraine was a parts capital of the world !

Given the stupid rise in energy prices, if I don't get a build date soon, and if something isn't done to rein in energy firms taking the P*** I might just cancel it.

Hi,

Im also a new owner of a Macan.....409 days from order to collection from Portsmouth OPC last month.

I miss all those late nights, fussing over the Porsche Configurator trying to keep the cost of extras under control!

Really pleased with the new car...looking forward to completing its running in!

Congratulations on the new motor, Shaun.

Be great to see some photos when you have a minute to post some.

Unfortunately, you've just missed the Macan Register WOTY Tour of the West Country, but plenty more events coming up.

BTW I'm FRICS (retrd.) so a warm surveyor's welcome to the Club too.

Regards,

Thanks Clive

I will post photos in due course.

I’m FRICS but not quite retired yet, but fingers crossed!
