Advice regarding long term storage of 997

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on storing my 997 gen2 since I'm headed to Australia with the family for a year+ from Aug/Sep.

Ideally I would like to find a place to store the car within maximum 20-30 min of Gatwick or Heathrow since I will be back once or twice a year for a few days and would like access to the car.

I hoping to keep the car with a fellow enthusiast or otherwise at a secure location at a reasonable cost. I would be happy to offer a stay in our holiday flat in St. Ives Cornwall in return for the help or something to that effect :)

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
- martin

Hi Martin

I have used Secure Car Storage Oxford | Windrush Car Storage , excellent service albeit a little further out

Hi Andrew, thanks for the link and the service does look very premium but at £100/week it is quite a bit higher than what I was hoping to find :)

Hi Martin, I have secure parking at my home, have been club member for many years & lucky to have a few cars myself, I store a few cars from club members, location is 2miles from J20 of M25. Contact me if interested.

Hi Martin,  i laid up my ST for 6 months at a very secure storage unit called Carlines.  Probably around 30 mins from Gatwick near Horsham.  I paid £153.00 per month. Had access to take my car out whenever i needed.
