A little about my new Porsche 968 Sport project purchased this week...
The car was registered and supplied brand new by JCT600 Porsche Official Centre North East (Porsche Newcastle) in January 1995 with registration M1 PTM. In August 1998 this private plate was removed, and the car returned to registration M737UEF.
The car was then sold to its second owner in January 1999.
The car was then sold to its third owner in May 2000.
The car was then sold to its fourth owner in September 2001, then in August 2002 registration plate ASW 227 (which remains on the car) was added. At some point the car was taken off the road with engine failure. (Owned for 19 years and two months).
The clue here is there is no digital MOT history to the car. DVLA Records went digital in April 2005 so looks like the failure was between August 2002 and April 2005.
The car was then sold to its fifth owner Paul Holmes in Ilkeston in November 2020. (Owned for 1 year and seven months).
I then purchased the car in June 2022 with just 64k miles and a freshly rebuilt zero miles engine built by John Holland at Unit 11 in Warrington.
We'll now complete and restore the car until its back on the road hopefully in a few months time.
As a bonus the car came with LOTS of spares and new parts and even a very faded PCGB sticker!
