When I sold my Macan Gen 1 SD in January 21, I was always asked if it had a Pano Roof. Answer: No. The car still sold very quickly at a good price.
When I spec'd my Gen 2 GTS, I was encouraged to have the Pano Roof, so I added it.
One year later:
In its first month, the car was back to the OPC for:
Roof Blind bouncing back when closing.
Roof Failing to open (it failed closed).
A couple of months later:
Roof drains blocked, front and back with water draining inside the car, on the front carpets and over electrics in the boot. As there was no chance, or evidence, of blockage from leaves or pine needles etc at places I parked, the reason for the blockages was put down to 'Detritus' during the delivery process.
Today, the roof is waiting to go back to the OPC again for the Roof Blind bouncing back when closing.
In practice I tend to use the Pano Roof to give light into the car and like that. i.e. Roof closed, Blind open.
I rarely open the roof and when its warm and sunny, I prefer Air Con to an open roof.
So, I am now spec'ing my Gen 3 for October delivery.
Pano Roof. Yes or No ?
