Hi all,
I am new to 964 and have a C4. It's just been for an MOT and failed due to front near side tyre making contact with the inner body only on full lock. As you can imagine I'm a bit frustrated. The owner prior to me has put 17" alloys on the car. Im reading a lot about adjustments that need to be made. The car is due to go into a specialist. I would appreciate any feedback. As i said I am new to 964 and learning as i go! thanks

Hi I have a 1990 c2 with 17” cup alloys so far as I know they were oem options ? I had a rubbing problem which was cured when Ninemeister set the car up using RS settings . Handles like a dream . Good luck

Depends on the year, early cars had a Tech Service Bulletin ( story can’t recall the number) to cover fitting 17” inch wheels. If the rub is on the outer inside edge, the TSB shows the inner lip needs a few mm of the corner cut off, and the right steering lock stops added. A good specialist should have the TSB for fitting 17” wheels. Also, many cars had lowered suspension which added to the issue. It a not a big job but you will a geo done. Good luck.
