I'm sure most of you already know that Philip & Jacquie our current Regional Organisers have decided to step down in September, therefore Deb & I thought it only fair to try to assist in some way (as they kindly did for us) to ensure all their great efforts weren’t for nothing and R3 continues to flourish and move forward as it has steadily under their good governance.

This is always a difficult time for any region but we hope by helping in some small way by organising a couple of additional events it will ensure a much easier transitional period between them and any future RO and may make the task seem a little less daunting for anyone interested.

Therefore I would like to add to the calender, The Great North Classic Car Show 2022 - Sunday 11th September. All those who attended back in 2019 expressed that they enjoyed a great day, of course the weather always helps and that one was a scorcher. With this in mind and of course Philips blessing, I have contacted the organisers and they have kindly agreed to once again allow us around 20 spaces at their show.

Obviously this is billed as a Classic Show, therefore I would like to firstly gauge interest from R3 members with pre-2000 cars in an attempt to recreate our fabulous varied 2019 time line of the marque. Spaces are sure to fill up fast so please pm me if you would like to be considered for a space in our 2022 display.

Further details and pricing are to follow but you can find further information about the show or book your own tickets and general event parking here.

Please note pre-2000 will not automatically guarantee you a place on the Club stand as we are looking to vary our display. All vehicles MUST be on site from10am-4pm as a minimum.

I’m up for this - Claude still bangs on about it being the best show he’s ever been to in the North East!

Greg, I'd be happy to come along to this show either as an exhibitor or a visitor.

I realise my car is 2009, so not a classic in that sense but if you can't get the numbers then I'm happy to join in so put me on the reserve list thanks.

Sir John

Great idea, we would be up for it either as exhibitor or a visitor, unfortunately a 2005 Boxster isn’t a classic (Yet) but it sounds like a good day out.
