There is a hill climb event for historic cars only being held at Doune (Stirlingshire) on the 21st and 22nd of May 2022. Apparently the hope is that this event may become an annual fixture..
From past events there is usually plenty of field parking available near the paddock, though it is a while since I have been at Doune. Last time I was there it had a cafe, and had a car museum in one of the buildings, which I believe is now gone and the building used as an antiques outlet, I suspect the cafe will still be there, thus potential to get out of the possible rain and keep those with no motoring interests entertained, while you are up the hill..?

Of course everyone in this part of the country with Porsche interests will be at Brian`s PORSCHE IN THE GLEN on the 22nd

Hey Geedee :D

We have an event on the R2 events page for a Saturday display at Doune.
We are hoping to put together an interesting display in the paddock - conveniently overlooking the starting line. Free to display, but if you want to wander up to spectate further along the climb, then you'll need to purchase a ticket on the day (fair enough)

Anyone who wants to park up for the day on our club stand, please just book a ticket so we can know to expect you :D

Hi Catlin, thanks for the heads up re Doune. I read through the handbook to try to gain understanding of my Porche`s many functions but it appears time machine was not one of them... Sigh! (-:
I hope all you had a good time at Doune, and the weather looks to have been kind too..
What..no pics..?
Cheers.
