The North West 100 scenic drive and meal is back - 8th May 2022
It will start and finish at MacKenzies Yorkshire Smokehouse. Blubberhouses. https://mackenziesyorkshirefarmshop.co.uk/
They will welcome us from 9.00am for those wanting a leisurely breakfast, when bacon and sausage* sandwiches plus a vegan smashed avocado on sourdough and tea/coffee will be available to buy and of course toilets will be available. The first cars will commence the run from 10.00am. Driving in convoy on country roads is discouraged so cars will be released at intervals.
The proposed routes of around 100 miles will take you through some of Yorkshire and Lancashire’s most delightful scenery.

The lunch holt will be in North Lancashire at a lovely place with ample parking. In addition to the cafe there have a marquee which expands capacity significantly to meet our needs. This venue is used to hosting car and motorcycle clubs and they are delighted that Porsche Club are visiting.

This year, rather than navigating by Tulip Rally symbols, route guidance will be by Google maps. This will enable both the driver and passenger to enjoy the scenery instead of the navigator having to have their head buried in the road book. Route details and a guide to using pre prepared Google Maps will be emailed to entrants.

Participants are encouraged to round the day off with a Sunday roast* meal in the restaurant at Mackenzies, reserved for our sole use from 3.30pm. This was a popular feature of the last NW 100. There will be dedicated Porsche parking.

  • Vegetarian options will be available.

Entry must by email to Roger Goode rogo.pcgbr7@gmail.com
For security please do not post any sensitive details on the Forum.

Entrants must include the following in their email:
  1. The names of everyone in your party.
  2. Your PCGB membership number.
  3. The model, registration number and colour of your car.
  4. Your mobile telephone number.
  5. How many of your party will require breakfast*
  6. How many of your party will require late lunch at the end of the run*
* I will supply menus so choices can be selected in advance.

Please note: We will share participants details as necessary with other participants in this event. Please tell me by 1st May if you DO NOT consent to us doing this.

To help the chef, breakfast and the late lunch at MacKenzies must be selected in advance and I will email a menu to entrants. Seating in the restaurant is limited to 65 so please don’t delay booking. Payment for meals is the responsibility of individuals.
