Region 5 will once again be attending the Classic Car Show at the beautiful Gawsworth Hall in Cheshire on Bank Holiday Monday, the 2nd May.

An annual event since 1998, the show takes place from 10:00am to 4:00pM in the walled Elizabethan gardens.

With the first recorded rally taking place in 1902, and held by the Manchester Automobile Club, Gawsworth has long been linked with the motor vehicle, and in the 1940s and 1950s it was home to Denis Ferranti’s wonderful collection, including a T59 Bugatti that now takes pride of place in Ralph Lauren’s garage.

In recent years, highlights have included wonderful eight-litre vintage Bentleys and dozens of period scooters and of course the Porsche Club Region 5 displays with all welcome to come and go as they wish, ensuring a relaxing day for both owners and visitors, with an informal Concours and auto jumble.

Looking forward to this. A weird facet of the PCGB billing system is that 2 x £5 tickets came out at £10.01. Not sure how they managed that.

I’m glad that you will be joining us Brian, its usually a really nice relaxed event with some really interesting cars. Fingers crossed that we get some of this nice weather that we are having this week.

I have no idea why the PCGB system over charged you by a penny, perhaps it’s a tax towards the new club headquarters... ????

Joking aside, I’ll ask Matt to enquire as to why the system over charged you.

Martin

It isn't a major issue other than probably not being legal! I did report it to HQ but have had no reply. Probably busy counting all those pennies......

Update:- We've nearly sold out our allocation of Gawsworth tickets. Just a very small number remain, literally 2 or 3 car tickets. Thank you to everyone who has committed to be there. We are long time supporters of the Gawsworth team and it's great that we are attending this season curtain raiser event in force.

I'll order the required weather!

I’m afraid that the Gawsworth Hall Porsche Club display area is now sold out. However, if you would still like to attend this event, general admission tickets are currently still available via the Gawsworth website direct.

All display cars need to arrive between 9am and 10am, after 10am you will not be granted admission to the display area. Please expect queues on the entrance to Gawsworth and allow plenty of time to gain admission.

Tickets are the confirmation email you received when booking via the PCGB website, please bring a copy with you to gain admission, without this the Gawsworth stewards wont allow entry.

We look forward to seeing you all on the day, however, should you have any further questions or queries, do please let me know.

Martin
