Oil change

Hi, My wife’s Macan info screen is reporting Oil Change now. Called local PC to book in. Advised the oil change cost £400 plus. This seems a bit steep. My local Porsche Specialist charges £130. The car has covered 25,000 miles and was serviced by the supplying PC a year ago. Next service indicated during 2023. Am I missing something or is the quoted PC price normal? Your comments and experiences are welcome.

I've just had an interim oil change on my 2020 Macan GTS. It cost £80 including filter and 'O' ring. I purchased 10 litres of Mobile 1 oil online for just under £90. You don't say which model you have, but if it's petrol fuelled and has a particulate filter, you'll need Porsche C30 or C40 grade (green label).

We purchased the paper filter from our nearest PC (at £27 retail! [&:]) under the mistaken impression it would carry a Porsche marking to comply with warranty. Turned out it just had VW markings!

Regards,

Thanks Clive. Your message confirms my sense the quoted PC price for engine oil change is unreasonable. I am of an age requiring professional help so will use my local Porsche Specialist. My wife’s car is 2019 2litre petrol Macan which is ideal. When I feel the need for speed I wake up my Cayman 981. regards, Richard.
