718 GT4 Intake

Prompted by the recall which seems (unless something further emerges) not to involve the 718 GT4, I thought I'd continue and ask for copies of the intake arrangement for the 718 GT4.

Attached are two pdf files;
718 GT4 Intake 801-900 shows the outside>in view (Attached to this post)
718 GT4 Intake 106-000 shows the internal routing (Attached to next post)

Part #19 on 801-900 leads to part #13 and fan 12 on 106-000

Not much obvious to stop cigarette butts or track rubber passing through the purge fan and ultimately blocking it.

What do you think Jeff?

Only thing that will properly stop that kind of detritus is something like the zunsport grilles/ Manthey ones.

Agreed Ralph. Nothing there in the form of a mesh to stop foreign body ingress.

As T has pointed out, it looks as though an aftermarket mesh or grille is the only answer to stop rubber bits attacking the purge fan on your track days.

Jeff

I got my recall letter for my 718 GT4 on the 12th… and having just booked the car in for the work was then called to be told the recall on my car and all 718 GT4 is an error and not to worry
