Great start for 2022 Paul...Many thanks.

I have a feed for a number of car specific PCGB forums and R16 which notifies me of any posts. Could I suggest others do the same. WhatApp is useful but I'm sure we must miss some people too.

I see that the South West 60th Anniversary event is missing from that list.

Postponed last year for obvious reasons, nothing more than ‘April’ was ever revealed about it and nothing has been heard about it since, so has it actually been cancelled?

Martin, I’m not aware of anything planned and nothing handed over. If I hear anything I’ll post the details.

It's being worked on at the moment by the new Events person, Michelle. We in R15 have suggested a number of venues and, while nothing has been finalised, it is likely to be just south of Bristol. We don't have a date yet either. A couple of dates in July have been mentioned but one of those clashes with our major car show in the region.

Thanks Paul and Alan; obviously, over sixty years has proved not to be quite enough lead time! It rather bears out the discussion taking place elsewhere on this Forum regarding the importance given to national-v-regional matters though.

To be fair, Martin, the last two years have hardly been conducive to organising anything! Anyway, the new lady is very keen and we're hoping for a grand event in the SW later in the year.[:)]

Good to hear that Alan; I thought that the event had been postponed rather than the planning of the event. Understand what you say re: organising things during the Covid period, but given that our staff were working rather than on ferlough I assumed that this was the sort of thing that they were doing. Anyway, let's look forward to a decent PCGB gathering within easier reach and -as ever- hope that we get some worthwhile weather.
