Morning all ,

can anyone give me some advice on purchasing an S/S Exhaust for my turbo
where to go ?

thanks
David .

A replacement for standard (which is stainless) or something louder to release a few horses?
Tony

Dansk is the go to for a standard replacement.
Hayward and Scott can build you something to suit - not sure how much they charge these days.

Mine was from Janspeed and is a bit louder but still trackday friendly - many years ago but they may still have the jigs ( they found at the time it produced more power with their front box still in place many of the louder options delete it).

I think quicksilver can do one - though A friend of mine had issues with poor workmanship on his audi - it was a good few years ago - but poor welding and pipes protruding into the exhaust on joints.

I think Dansk had stopped making the turbo cat back exhaust. Got a spare one in the shed, hoping it's worth a few quid...

Call Stuart at AAS in Newcastle upon Tyne, tell him I sent you and what you want and he’ll make you one of these from his jig.

Pretty sure that the cost includes fitting or postage and is circa £600 with a lifetime guarantee. A bad engine mount caused my wastegate tie in pipe to crack the weld and it was repaired without fuss or question.

Hi. Interested in an exhaust, but how loud is this one?
Nothing wrong with my standard exhaust but it is alittle boring.
These cars are meant to be about fun.
Would like something sounding alittle sportier, but not stupid or annoyingly loud.
(South West UK recommendations appreciated)
Thanks

This was my standard one (albeit with tube replacing the tip after it fell off):

And this is the one I pictured above:

Thanks for that....??
Now that sounds much better. Much more like a fun sports car should sound. Lol.
What is the noise like in the car, obviously alittle noisier revving but is it intrusive on a motorway journey?

Sounds fine on the motorway, doesn’t drone, and I have no sound deadening under the carpets either.

Obviously everyone’s tolerance is different but I’ve never even considered it a problem.

Until you've fitted a bigger turbine housing + 3" discharge pipe, there's not much point in changing the first half of the standard stainless system. Just cut out the cat or first silencer, and replace with stainless tube. Then replace what's left with a dansk or similar. Unless the engine is modified, 3" exhausts are just bling.
