Took advantage of an extra few days off and some Winter sunshine - took a long winding B Road drive down to the Battle Of Britain Memorial.

That's a lovely place to visit, been there a few times myself! Also in the general area is the Spitfire Museum at Manston, the Battle of Britain Museum near Hawkinge (with an interedting pub a short distance uphill from there) and Samphire Hoe, which you access from the London bound carriageway of the A20 leaving Dover. It's where all the spoil from the Channel Tunnel was put, creating a nature park and seawall walk (steep walk down from and back to the car park, we don't go there any more!!).

Even though our weekend toy (R171 SLK280 these days, miss the 968 cab!) has an excellent heater, heated seats and the wonderful airscarf (heated air from the seatbacks at neck level!!), I'd have problems persuading management to allow roof down motoring even on a sunny cloudless day like today!
