Spoiler stuck

Hi
spoiler is stuck in open position. idle on drive and pressing the button on screen doesn’t close the spoiler…screen still shows as open too. Any tips?

I had exactly the same issue and it seems many people do. A trip to Porsche centre is probably the correct way to address this as they can investigate the cause; I have read that in some cases they replace the whole mechanism (no parts available) but that seems rare and in most cases they "fix" the problem though I have not found anything online that points to what that "fix" is.

The way I "Fixed" this was as follows. I had my daughter keep her finger on the screen button to close the spoiler and at the same time applied equal pressure to both ends of the spoiler with my hands. After a few seconds spoiler closed. After doing this, I have had no repeat issue (12M later). When the car went in for service, I told them of the problem but as expected they could not see an issue.

I suspect the issue is a simple mechanical limit issue; the spoiler opened a little more than it should and something "jammed"; either that or there is a calibration issue (some potentiometer that measures opening perhaps).

Super….that’s closed it. opened it and it’s stuck again, so re-closed with same technique. Looks like it may be an ongoing issue. Will take for a pin tomorrow and test at speed. Happy new year everyone!
