Zunsport Grills

Having had a pragmatic discussion with my OPC (basically saying it would not be warranty issue, unless there was a related problem in that area), and having seen the effect of a low flying pheasant in a Boxster grill (and heard the cost), as well as seeing the amount of damage from stones, I have fitted Zunsport outer grills to my C2S (non Sport Equip).

They are easy to fit (and remove) and my only concern is that the outer bracket used to locate the grill will wear the plastic trim that it is located against (shown in Item 2 of their fitting instructions). To avoid this I have inserted some dense foam to keep them apart.

I have used Zunsport grills before and am pleased with the quality, particularly having used the Club discount.

I can only agree with you comments, I have recently suffered issues with condensers (Details on previous posts) which led me to go down the same route.

Only a week after fitting them on to my 992 a large pigeon flew out of a hedge bottom straight into the offside grille, fortunately the grille deflected the bird leaving a few feathers but other than this the car was fine. Had the grille not been in place I would have been looking at an expensive replacement condenser and front slats.

The grilles are relatively easy to fit, I did have an issue with the clips but this was solved by a quick call to Zunsport who were very helpful. Club discount made a worthwhile saving.

Car looks much better with them fitted.

Apologies for the delayed response.

Pictures taken while having steering/suspension geometry down at Center Gravity (shown on third image). The location brackets can just be seen in the lower outside edge of each grill (left on first, right on second) - not too obvious!

Regarding Center Gravity, with the car almost three years old and having suffered the ravages of roads around the Cotswolds (potholes, etc.), this has made a great improvement. I highly recommend these guys.

Thanks Tim, looks like a good modification for extra protection. Are these also available for cars with Sports Design Kit?

Thanks a lot Tim, I will order some then before my car arrives. As I think it's even more exposed with the Sports Design Kit so this will be good protection indeed. And yes, will make sure I use the PCGB discount.

Having also had the condenser problems I have fitted to my C2S cab which is fitted with the sports design kit. Improves both the look but more importantly gives some piece of mind. And avoids having to regularly clear out leaves and all the other junk that finds its way in.
