PCCM Plus Upgrade

Hi Everyone
Thinking of upgrading my original pcm head unit to the new PCCM plus on my C4S. I have watched a few videos on YouTube on how to carry out the install and it looks pretty straight forward.
Just wondering if anybody has done the install themselves and if so was it easy to do or would you recommend having the work done at a OPC?
Many thanks.

Hi Mat
Apologies for the delayed response, I was going to fit mine myself but ended up having it supplied and installed by OPC Swindon. After installation i noticed there was a software glitch with the unit (random trip meter resetting) Swindon referred the glitch to the tech dept in Germany a software updated was uploaded about a month later and no problems since.

Swindon were excellent always responding to emails and phone calls promptly and in my opinion the PCCM is superb.

Hi Matt,

I have my 2004 996 C4 going in shortly to have the PCM Plus installed.

Is there anything from your perspective I should be aware of in terms of things to ask for or options on how things are installed please?

I am thinking about things like the box they fit in the cubby hole (think I have heard you can have in the glove box?) and also I think as mine is a latter car that you get the satnav on the dash….

Any pointers or things to think about would be gratefully received please?

Tim

I am looking to get PCCM plus installed either by an OPC or an Indie. Can anyone share recommendations and installation prices.
Thanks
Mark

Just by way of an update one of the OPC's local to me are quoting just under £2,300 with the 15% classic discount, so almost £1000 in labour.

I had mine done and it was 1800 fitted I think by paragon of you are in the south east. It is absolutely BRILLIANT

I had mine fitted by my local OPC (South London) and they did a fantastic job. It is a really great upgrade that brings the tech up to date and looks like it has always been there.

Can I ask how much you paid for the OPC fitting?

mine was actually done through paragon in five ashes and they use a local specialist… not sure how much the fitting was
