For the Weekend and Midweek Of The Year 2022 we will again head north to the border region but this time on the English side.

We will stay in the spectacular and lovely family run Otterburn Castle Hotel which is situated just east of Kielder forests surrounded by great countryside. From here we can enjoy the Northumberland moorland area as well as crossing into Scotland to sample again the awesome roads there. The gorgeous wild Northumberland coast is also in easy reach so there is lots to do and enjoy in your Porsche.

The WOTY is for the nights of Friday 30th September and Saturday 1st October with dinner on both nights.

The MOTY is on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th October, again with dinner on both nights.

By direct route the hotel is 2¼ hours from Wetherby services on the A1 so for most people it should be possible to get there after work on the Friday / Tuesday; for those who can take the day off it will be possible to make a day of the journey using some of the fabulous North Pennine moorland roads and we will have some suggested routes and a lunch stop on the way.

We will of course plan some suggested routes to enjoy on the Saturday / Wednesday

As we expect demand to be high, please only book for the WOTY or the MOTY. (If the event is not full closer to the time then double bookings may be allowed)

Booking will open at 8.30 on Thursday 2nd December

Please book your accommodation direct with the hotel by telephone on 01830 520 620. They will require a £50 deposit by credit card.

Make sure that you tell them that you are with the Porsche Club, and very importantly whether you are staying on the WOTY on 30th Sept / 1st October] or the MOTY 4th/5th October.

Online booking is not available.

The cost is £420 for two people, for two nights in a Classic double room for Dinner Bed and Breakfast, a Select room is £470.

If you have mobility issues then please discuss this with the hotel when booking, there are two ground floor rooms, but there is no lift.

VERY IMPORTANT - Once you have booked please email us at r7ontrack@gmail.com

This is vital because otherwise we won’t know who is going, and won’t be able to contact you with further details.
We need you to tell us:

Which event you are going on (WOTY or MOTY)
Names of everyone in your party
Your PCGB membership number (the event is members only)
Model, registration number and colour of your car
Mobile telephone number
Any specific dietary requirements or allergies.

Post edited to correct typo on cost of Classic room, which is £420 as stated here, not £410 which is still in the email from Club House. My bad as young people say.

[attachment=Otterburn castle.jpg] Whoop whoop! It does look lovely.

An email has gone out from the Club house which still contains my typo. The Cost for a Classic double room is £420 as now stated here, not £410 as in the email.

Please, don't try to book until Thursday morning.

The hotel actually closed until then, and they will not accept any bookings until then.

A number of people have been trying to book early.

Have been ringing the hotel since 11.30am today (at least 8 times) no one answering the phone, left 2 messages and not had a return call.

Has this been the case for everyone?

Regards

Joe

Today is the FIRST of December. As you will no doubt have read above, bookings open at 8:30 on Thursday the SECOND December. This may explain why the phone wasn’t answered
