991 gen2 Turbo S fuel pump issues

Hi There, I was just wondering if anyone else out there has had to have the fuel pump replaced on their Turbo s. I am having to have mine replaced on my 2017 car at the time of writing. Is this a "common fault" with this model ?. Are there other issues I should watch out for ?.

Yes, common faults on all 991/981/997/987
Electronic engine mounts 991 onwards (moisture gets into the "sealed" connector and shorts out)
Valve lift solenoids. (Yes they are still out of stock globally)
Coolant system sensors. The latest revision is supposed to be much more reliable. Has a different style connector.
Plus the normal components you can expect to fail with age.
So I am told, by my Indy who I trust.
I was asking them what else could possibly go wrong in the not too distant future.
Hope this doesn't depress you too much.

991.2 C2 issues on my car:
Turbos - one turbo failed caused by the turbos being partially open to the elements. Both turbos replaced.
PSE - similar problem to the turbos
Exhaust tips - rusty bolts. Disgraceful cost saving by Porsche. Replace with stainless steel bolts.

Fortunately all work done under warranty (cost would have been about £7k otherwise). Done less than 12k. Not impressed.

Water pumps yes but just adding to NC35's comment "I was asking them what else could possibly go wrong in the not too distant future."

Thanks for the good news guy's. Reading your comments, I have something to look forward too

To set your mind at rest, I had a 997TTS for 6 years and a 991.2 TTS for 3 years and suffered no problems whatsoever with either petrol pumps, water pumps or indeed any other engine defects.
Regards,

Clive
