NOTAWOTY 9th, 10th & 11th August 2022 - Two Rooms are now available!

There are now two rooms available for the Notawoty.

One is only a small room, it has a small double bed; described as being suitable for two small people who know each other well!

The other is a two bedroom cottage 200m from the hotel, which can sleep up to four people, but can be let out as double room.

Heather & Hills, Passes & Thrills

We are returning to Friars Carse Hotel and the truly fabulous roads and scenery of the Dumfries & Galloway and Borders region. Those who came here on the WOTY & MOTY this year discovered just how wonderful the area is and there was considerable enthusiasm for returning to Friars Carse to drive the brilliant roads again. Even in August the roads are amazingly traffic free, and hopefully we will enjoy warmer weather and purple heather clad hills.

There is so much to do that we have decided to stay three nights to allow for further exploration of the region.

The event will be on Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th August.
We will have exclusive use of Friars Carse, which is 3 star hotel, but is clean, comfortable and with really friendly and helpful staff who looked after us very well this year.

We will of course devise some routes and a lunch stop for those who wish to drive up together on the Tuesday and also a selection of routes for exploring the area whilst we are there.

Booking

Booking opens Wednesday 17th November at 9:30

Please book your accommodation direct with the hotel by telephone on 01387 740388 but make sure you tell them that you are with the Porsche Club. Online booking is NOT available for this event.

As a special deal for this event Friars Carse has held the prices for us at this years rates, a standard room is £435 for two people, for three nights Dinner Bed and Breakfast. A standard single room is £225.

There are also two cottages a few minutes walk from the hotel, one for two people, the other will sleep four.

There are small supplements for some of the upgraded rooms.

Some rooms are closer to the lifts than others. If you have mobility issues then please discuss this with the hotel when booking.

Hi Graham,

Hotel booked and email sent.

Did anybody stay in the Hawthron standard room last time?

We stopped in the cottage last time so no experience of the hotel rooms and I am just a little concerned, just wondered what it is like.

The Notawoty has been staggeringly popular and amazingly is already full. In just one day.

There is clearly a demand to go to this fabulous area of Scotland, so we will have to consider if it is possible to run a second event at Friars Carse at another time.

To try to estimate if there is sufficient interest to run a further event - if you were unlucky and did not get a place and would be interested in coming to Friars Carse another time,

then please email us on r7ontrack@gmail.com to register your interest, and also let us know if there are any dates you could not come.

Our good friends Rob and Joan Peck were in Hawthorn for the WOTY, I can ask them if you like.

Hello all NOTAWATY participants

did any one receive ANY kind of confirmation from the hotel regards your accommodation booking. I have received nothing at all from them.

apologies, maybe I am little paranoid, but I would have expected something from them. You will put me out of my state of anxiousness if no one else received any kind of confirmation. ..... Or, I’ll be on the phone to them pretty soon.

Thanks

Nigel
