We have been invited to attend as a club at the Yorkshire Motorsport Festival in 2022, which is to be held from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th June.

The very first event was held earlier this year, after plans to initially start it in 2020, but unfortunately Covid postponed its inaugural year. Held on the outskirts of Meltham near Holmfirth, the core of the event is a closed road hillclimb that sees a mix of vintage, classic and specialist cars race against the club. There are also demonstration runs to fill the day, plus the surrounding event which is a mix of car clubs, displays, trade stands and generally something for all. The way it was initially promoted was as a Goodwood Festival for the North!

Club members displaying vehicles will get a 50% discount on tickets, although there are restrictions on entry and exit times throughout the day, with no vehicle movement during show open hours so you must arrive before 0830 in the mornings and will be able to depart after 1700 on Friday and Saturday and 1600 on Sunday. You would not have to attend for the full weekend, just choose your day and enjoy! Full details of the event can be found at www.ymsf.net Tickets are £30 per adult for a day ticket (before discount), and £10 per child for the day, or a full 3 day weekend ticket is £80 (before discount), and £25 per child. Children under 10 are free but must have a booked ticket for entry.

If you could please let me know if you would be interested in attending, and I will compile a list so we can speak with the organisers further details and the space that we need. If you could confirm that you would like to display your vehicle and attend, drop a note below and I will message you for details and the discount code for tickets. We are hoping to have the R7 Gazebo there, and can hopefully make it an enjoyable day! There will be lots to see!

Many thanks for the quick responses. Once tickets are released for sale I will set up a link and the booking reference for club display discount.
Last year the Aston Martin Club had their own field / paddock area, so depending on interest I will see what we can get, but I have asked about numbers and they have said we can have as many spaces as we like!
