Macan and Wheelchair use

We are looking to change our family car and part of the consideration is being able to comfortably take my mother-in-law out who will require the use of a wheelchair moving forward. I would like a Macan but my wife feels it might be too small and is moving toward a BMW X4 :( Happy to fit roof bars and storage above for holidays etc. We would be looking to order the new Macan if this makes a difference to any internal capacities. Does anyone have any experience or advice regarding this?

Thanks
Jason

I find the Macan plenty big enough for my needs. Is the X4 that much bigger? A quick google says they are 500 litres and 525 litres respectively

I agree, I think the Macan is probably the best car I have ever had in terms of fun, not feeling too big, but still has a load of capacity. It isn’t a 911, but having owned one in London, I am glad it isn’t. I have the Thule boot box that goes on my electric tow bar, so when we went camping (5 of us) with all the gear for a week, it was fully loaded but still handled well.

I can also attach 4 bikes on this tow bar, which makes it really flexible. When you are on your own driving round town, it does not feel like an SUV at all, I borrowed my friends Discovery when I needed 7 seats and that felt like an ocean liner by comparison, handling all over the shop and wafty in the extreme.
