What's Happening for the Rest of the Year

What a delight it was to welcome over 50 members last night to the Coopers Arms on a dark, damp evening. Tyre kicking moved to the bar until our usual room was open. Sorry there was no food - staff shortages have forced the pub to suspend kitchen opening on Mondays and Tuesdays for October and November.

Next meeting, November 1st, we will welcome Nigel Elliott, an experienced and well qualified fuels expert to talk to us about the fuel we put in our cars and the background to the recent changes.[:)]

On November 6th, we have been invited to demonstrations and tuition on car preparation products and how best to use them by Nielsen Chemicals' new renovated facility at Moira, Swadlincote from 10.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. Refreshments will be made available through the day. Please let us know if you are interested.

December 6th we will be hosting our regular "Not Yet Christmas Dinner" so the normal meeting will not take place. Advance booking for this popular evening is essential and we ask for a £5 per person deposit. Let us know if you are interested in joining us for a delicious carvery meal, crackers and silly hats and a free raffle with lots of prizes. There will be the usual photograph competition too - topic!

I hope you will see us at one or all of our events. Look out on our Facebook page R8PCGB or here for impromtu gatherings and drives which might take place.

Let us know if there is anything you want us to do.

Safe and smiley driving everyone[:)].
