Manufacturing Date for a 1981 (?) model 928 S ?

Porsche dealer unable to pin down (even after contact with "Head Office - Germany). It's for the obvious reason , reg date is 7th May 1981 , "Invoice date " is 7th April 1981. Does anyone here have access to info that would help pin down a date of manufacture ? Ta Alan
 
Many people have tried to work out manufacturing number and date from chassis number, but no one has worked it out. Even if you could, the DVLA aren't going to take any notice of anything that doesn't come directly from Porsche themselves, just pay your road tax for another 6 months.
