Kenwood PCM replacement

Hi team 997, my first post since joining the group.

Does anyone have experience of Kenwood PCM replacement? Was it a smooth integration with the car or are their quirks/bugs (with iOS)? Can anyone recommend a mounting kit (I have seen a few out there...)

In return, I have just had a "full fat” Hartech rebuild and can wax lyrical on that subject if anyone is interested (spoiler alert - it’s all good...)

Thanks

Seb

I've replaced mine about 18 months ago with a Pioneer unit and reverse camera. The connect two surround is decent quality, looks factory. The avic unit I have works well with the Bose , very well. Just remember to configure it correctly or it will sound distorted. I have a multifunction 991 steering wheel , so I purchased the connects two Bose fiber optic link with steering wheel connection. All the buttons used to work but I use wireless android auto and the tracks up and down , telephone buttons are now problematic. My business phone uses IOS , no issues there either with the avic. The only issue is with the camera , when the bumper needs to come off its a pain , but we have overcome this by installing inline connections.

What's the full fat rebuild? Did you just get it done or did a failure prompt it? If you want any photos , let me know. The phone mic is the only thing really out of place.
