Taycan CT wheel selection - are 21" wheels realistic on British roads?

Hi, i have my money down on a Taycan 4S CT, hoping it will be here by Easter!

Plenty of time to meddle with the configurator and I have everything sorted now except wheels.

Most of the wheels on offer on the Configurator leave me cold:
The 19-Inch Taycan S Aero Wheels as standard have the advantage of ride over the larger ones I guess and don't look to bad to me, but don't show the brake callipers as much as I'd like.
The only 20" wheels I fancy are the 20-Inch Offroad Design Wheels
Of the 21" wheels the only ones that grab me are the Cross Turismo Design Wheels as the other two look so much like the standard wheels that I can't justify the additional cost.
But the 21" wheels raise questions of ride/comfort and durability when presented with potholes!
Perhaps the fact that winter tyres aren't available on 21" wheels tells me all i need to know...?

Has anyone driven round on 21" wheels enough to help me out please?

Good Morning Stephen,

I love Mamba Green, and spotted one a few days ago on the road, as for the wheels I cant help as I don't have 21" on my 4S, however aesthetically I love your selection...

If you are connected to our social media accounts you could also maybe ask there?

Thanks for the update, but its not much use to me I'm afraid as I've never used Instagram and gave up Facebook about 5 years ago as I was sick of the narcissistic braggadocio and illusion of 'perfect lives' it propagated.

So, the forum's no use to me then?

Hi Stephen, I’ve spent four years driving on 21” wheels on my Panamera. It has air suspension, which I think you also get on the Taycan 4S, and the combination results in a very smooth driving experience. No issues on crumbly roads and farm tracks with the added advantage of being able to jack up the ride height.

I have 21" wheels on my 4S and they are fine, I also have air suspension which standard on my car, ride is very comfortable and have also driven a 4S with 19's and 20's and didn't notice a lot of difference to be honest

I've got 21" on my 4S (air suspension) and absolutely no problems whatsoever.  I have also driven same with 20" Turbo Aero wheels and I couldn't tell any difference.  21" look much better IMO so definitely worth it.

21' are all good on UK roads.
I have gone with the 21' RS Spyder Design alloys on my GTS order as I like more of the disks and calipers on show. Some of the others seem to expose too little and the 5 spoke alloys on the Turbo look a bit too bare. So think these are a good in-between.  Obviously everyone's opinion is different though.
