Hello folks,
Having run 911 and Boxsters for 15 yrs as weekend/ cherished cars I now own a 718 Boxster S.
The car is excellent, very fast with top class handling. The trouble is that I am becoming increasingly frustrated when driving the thing due to speed cameras, camera vans, community speed concern areas, dash cams, average speed checks etc etc. You get the picture. The car just cannot be used properly and I am feeling that it is a waste of a performance car in this country.
Considering a change to a Macan diesel which would become the everyday car replacing the Boxster and BMW 335D touring. Therefore still running a Porsche, still got estate car practicality, diesel economy, one less car to run and money back in the bank. Plus I may not feel like driving it like a bat out of hell!! Think that a petrol version would be too thirsty for everyday use (8-10k mls pa) although this is helped by one less car to run.
Any opinion from you Macan owners would be much appreciated.
PS, love the Boxster to bits.????
Cheers,
Chris
