Cotswolds WOTY - completed at last!

Our much delayed 2 day Cotswolds Tour, postponed from Spring 2020, finally came to fruition this weekend. 21 cars set off from Devon to explore some interesting routes and scenery on a meandering route to and from Cheltenham. Despite the fears of fuel shortages, we all managed to top up as necessary and got round the whole 300+ miles without too much range anxiety! A splendid social evening at the Brewhouse and Kitchen in Cheltenham - it almost felt like old times. On day 2 some set off for home earlier than others but an intrepid 8 cars made it the whole way round to the final pit stop in Taunton. Really wonderful to get out on a proper tour again and thanks to all who took part for making it great fun.

Only one casualty... one of our group had an engine mount failure on his 997 and had to retire hurt. The car has been recovered and will receive some tlc soon.

With the completion of this our thoughts turn to a longer WOTY next Spring/early Summer. Having explored North and South Wales and the Peak District in recent pre-Covid WOTYs, we are thinking of East Anglia, perhaps, but would welcome any suggestions you may have.

Congratulations on what looks to be a very enjoyable and highly successful tour.

It is the friendships and camaraderie built up over these kind of events that form lasting memories.

Everyone looks to be enjoying themselves, their cars and the company and that's what the Club is all about. [:)]

Regards,

Clive

It was really nice to get out and about again, we drove some lovely roads and had an excellent weekend.
The social side is something I think we have all missed and just being able to eat, drink and chat together makes such a difference.
I think we all managed to get enough fuel in this crazy situation we find ourselves in, so no major problems there.
Thanks for organising Alan we all really appreciate the effort that goes into making these events happen.
