My 1996 993 needs a new evaporator. After reading on Rennslist I was going to use a Griffith high performance replacement from the USA but these are out of stock and being retooled. The OEM replacement is £805 however the Mahle (who I believe bought Behr/Hella who made the original) is £192 or NRF £144. Keen to get best cooling. Is there any benefit in buying the OEM or is there a disadvantage in using the pattern parts?. Also I see that there are 2 versions of the expansion valve available, one for standard ac and one for improved efficiency ac. However I can find no explanation online as to the difference. Can anyone shed any light and advice please
