I currently have D90 16" wheels as standard on my 1988 944s model and I wonder if the 944 s2 17" replica twist wheels would fit?
My details are
Design 90's..............
Front 16"x7 ET52
Rear 16"x8 ET52
The twist wheels are ...
Front 17"x7.5 ET52
Rear 17"X9 ET47
I'm not great with the offset/fitting and I think these wheels would be nicer looking on my car.
Many thanks

There is a post in the 944 FAQ section re wheels and offsets
There is a post in the 944 Technical Articles re 17" wheels and required castor mounts.
The S2 NEVER HAD 17" wheels - they were optional on the 968 and they were NOT twists...they were CUP wheels.
The wheels you mention are very close to the correct offsets so you should be ok BUT see the aforementioned posts for other changes required. If the wheels you are looking at are not genuine Porsche then beware potential quality issues with off brands...I can't comment on what is good or otherwise but I have seen posts about issues with after market wheels.

To reiterats Bruce' comments - be aware of non Porsche wheels.
I'd also aske the question why you want to/ need to replace the wheels ?

Larger the wheel the higher the unsprung weight - 17" tyres often more expensive that 16" and because of the lower profile can give a more crashy/harsh ride - don't believe there is an issue sourcing 16"tyres for the D90's ?

Wheels will fit fine, and as you said, if you prefer the look then that’s great too. Tyre choice will be greatly improved too.

Caveats apply as discussed above with regards to weight, etc. but if you like them then they’ll fit. (In fact they’ll fill the arches better).

I doubt Porsche have ever been in the wheel making business. Some Porsche wheels were manufactured by Speedline, as were my Gemballa Lemans wheels. Light wheels are preferable, but BMW and Audi have had to replace wheels that buckled on British roads. Some posters seem to delight in trotting out TB's from decades ago, despite Porsche themselves subsequently offering an 18" wheel option for the 968.
