Hi All,

I'm an Essex [R11] man currently looking at buying a 1972 911T located near Norwich, and whilst I'm the proud owner of a 356 and 997 Gen 2 GTS , I'd very much like some input regarding the car and the vagaries of the model, from either an Independent Porsche specialist or a reasonably knowledgable owner / club member ?? To that end if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be most appreciative.

Thanks
Steve

He's knowledgeable on all Porsche but favours the early air-cooled models (has a superb early-ish Targa to die for...).

Tony conducts PPIs as well should you need one. Very meticulous, bordering on the pedantic.

Could be the person to speak to.

Steve, You could do no better than to go to Castle Hedingham on Sunday 12th September where there will be a collection of Early 911 models with their owners who I am sure would be happy to show you around examples of the car you are looking at. Tickets are available from Club office 01608 652911 at £20 per car
Perhaps see you there, (Sorry but I will be in a blue 356C)

Is this the silver late ‘72 (so ‘73MY) non oil-flap Euro-spec T (130 bhp) that Bure Valley Classics are offering for £74,995? I looked at that, thought it looked nice and read well but was puzzled that they state it was supplied to New York in ‘72 but it is clearly a non-MFI car?

…perhaps this was a US-spec T but had its Bosch MFI replaced with Webers at some point l? Looking at it again, I see it has a yellow engine shroud which I believe denotes an MFI engine?
