CANCELLED.
As only two people made contact (Nick, and Carolyn, who can’t make it anyway) I have informed the Kimbridge Barn that this meeting is cancelled so that they can make the space available to other guests.

At last…
Cayman Register members are invited to bring their Caymans for a "Cayman Breakfast" meeting at the Kimbridge Barn (SO51 0LE) on Sunday 12th September 2021 from 8:00 a.m. until about 10:00 a.m. This is just an informal gathering of PCGB Cayman Register members, there will not be an organised drive.

The manager of the Kimbridge Barn is opening early for us at 8:00 a.m. so we have a good chance of parking in a Cayman line-up. There are three eating areas but the main barn has been reserved for us with space for about 30 people. Please post to this thread stating whether you wish to attend and whether you will be accompanied by a passenger - I’ll keep a list of attendees maintained. If you or your passenger have to cancel please let me know so that someone else can take your place(s).

You can download a menu and location directions on the Kimbridge Barn website here https://www.idealcollection.co.uk/venues/kimbridge-barn/.

Kimbridge is located in Hampshire by the River Test and is close to the town of Romsey with its Norman abbey. Also nearby is Mottisfont, a National Trust property. There are lots of good walks in the area, including The Test Way. Other places you may wish to visit in the area are the town of Stockbridge which has a choice of pubs, cafes and coffee.

Thanks for setting this up Andrew. A good opportunity for all those at the southern end of the country. I am sorry, but I will be at the other end, Gourock, otherwise I would like to join you.

Rats, I can't make this unfortunately, otherwise I would have loved to come along.

Good to see these events starting up again - I came to the previous one at Kimbridge way back in the days just before Covid (which feels like a different era already!) and it was a great event at a fantastic location (with excellent food too if I recall correctly), so I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who is within reasonable distance.

Hello Andrew,

Sorry I had not seen your post earlier, but in any case we will be visiting Blenheim Palace so could not join you on this occasion. Hoping for better luck on future Cayman Register gathering. Thank you anyway for taking the initiative to arrange this one, and sorry to learn that you did not receive more responses. Best regards, Peter & Susan

Thank you Peter for your supportive message. It was something of a gamble trying to arrange a meeting at short notice which. It didn’t work out this time but I was reticent to plan anything too far in advance and have to anticipate any Covid related problems.

Well worth the gamble, they usually turn out great!
